The time that it takes to settle a personal injury case in Wyoming depends a lot on the court in which it’s filed and, also, on the preparation before the filing of the lawsuit. All of that is very important. State courts are a little slower in Wyoming than the federal court. The federal court is nine to twelve months, once the case is filed, to get the case resolved. State courts are one to two years in Wyoming because of the back log in the state court system and because of the differences in the way that they handle the cases.
